Based in Sydney, but hailing from Wales, Gian Arpino has been helping to keep the cities bars and clubs funky since 1998. With regular sets and residencies at the best nights in town over the last ten years. Originally making waves in the UK playing a wide mix of US/UK garage & house records, he became intrigued about the original samples contained inside these grooves.
So it began... 14 years (and counting) of digging, researching & stumbling upon records of all shapes and sizes, but always with a groovy nature and dance floor rhythm. He has been running the renowned "Saturdays" @ Tonic Lounge (Kings Cross) for nearly 5 years now, showcasing old/new dance floor soul, deep funk, afro, jazz, disco/boogie, latin, hip hop & a touch of reggae.
As well as his weekly night a Tonic he currently resides at Opera Bar on Fridays playing the sunset session aptly named Afternoon Delight, with what can only be described as sprinkling a balearic twist on proceedings with one hell’uva view.
